ABOUT
I started my career in 2004 as a guitarist, songwriter and founder of the Croatian metalcore pioneers Machine Insufficiency known for explosive high-energy live performances. We shared the stage with iconic bands including Behemoth, Hatebreed, Dying Fetus, Dimmu Borgir, Napalm Death and others. After an unexpected hiatus I directed all of my creative energy into a new musical project Subscale taking on dual roles as the main songwriter and mixing engineer. After a very successful EP release in 2012 (Fictional Constructs) other bands and artists started showing interest in me taking over mixing and mastering duties. Under the Subscalar Studios banner I mixed and produced numerous rock and metal acts as well as Subscales highly praised debut album The Last Submission in 2013.
Since 2020 I've produced, mixed and supported artists worldwide under the name Jay Kay Productions.
My current credits include a variety of metal and hard rock acts all the way from hard-hitting metal core, fast-paced technical death metal, modern nu metal to anthemic rock.
